Ghosts Update #4: New Features Announced at Xbox One Conference and More!

Hi guys!

Mario here with a massive Ghosts update!

At the announcement of the new next-gen console, the Xbox One, we got a TON of new info on Call of Duty: Ghosts! I'll try to list it all below:

CAMPAIGN

New Storyline
The new storyline features all-new characters, setting, storyline and engine! It starts with a massive apocalyptic event in America, which, from what I've seen, looks like a natural disaster. However, this puts America's military to pieces and cripples the government. This happens when your character is a kid. He then grows up, roughly 10 years later, to be a part of an undercover team called Ghosts. They are the underdogs, and they must save America's military forces before they cripple for good.

New Companion?
According to Activision, there will be a dog following you in your undercover group. This is pretty new and odd, but apparently, it isn't like any other dog. It is a part of the team, and it will help you to survive and not die (same thing, but doesn't matter now). My guess is that the dog will probably die, due to the characters now being more 'emotinally gripping' than ever. In the Black Ops II campaign, this is probably where this emotions thing started, especially with characters like Woods and Harper.

Below is a list of confirmed guns in CoD: Ghosts (Note: I'll make more posts as we go along):

New Dynamic Maps
There will be dynamic maps in then new Multiplayer. One thing that is rumored but hasn't yet been shown is that there will no longer be countdowns in order to start the game, and you will instead parachute from a helicopter or jump through a window (I know, intense, right?). There are also inter-map features which players can use to shift the gameplay to their advantage, like doors, explosive traps and logs falling from the side of the map. They also described there going to be floods and earthquakes, which I will talk more about in my first 'Ghosts Ideas' post.

New Character Customization
Yes, finally here! We can change the way our characters look. We can change the heads, masks, suits, shoes. Perhaps we'll be able to wear certain equipment to help us survive certain situations (again, coming in my first 'Ghost Ideas' post).

New 'Sub-Deep' Feature for Xbox One/PS4
For the next-gen consoles, there's going to be a new feature which changes it so that when something gets closer to you, it becomes more clear. This means if you are scoped in, your gun will look better than the rest of the environment. If not scoped in, the environment will try and make itself look nicer.
