Mario here with the first piece of information on the next Call of Duty game.
First of all, welcome to the site! This will post updates on Modern Warfare 4, and the title of the site will be changed if Activision change the name of Modern Warfare 4!
So, Activision recently confirmed that there WILL be another Call of Duty game released in 2013, which comes as no surprise, but some people were worrying that Black Ops 2 might be the last game as it's so futuristic, they couldn't carry it on. But it's now confirmed that in either October, November or December this year, there will be a new game!
The title of this game is expected to be Modern Warfare 4, but we're not sure yet. The reason for this is that Activision now own a lot of titles for future Call of Duty games. They own:
- Call of Duty: Space Warfare (1, 2, 3 and 4)
- Call of Duty: Future Warfare (1, 2, 3 and 4)
- Call of Duty: Secret Warfare (1, 2, 3 and 4)
These 3 titles are owned by Activision and the new game COULD be changed in the name. My opinion, if one was to be chosen, would be to have Space Warfare. I'm trying to come up with some killstreaks/scorestreaks that could be featured in space, like the Orbital VSAT might be seen floating around and perhaps we could control something that looks like something from Star Wars or Star Trek!
The last part of this information comes with the consoles this game will be released on. The 4 confirmed platforms are the Xbox 360, the PS3, the PC and the WiiU. However, due to the recent rumours about next generation consoles being released this year (the PS4 and the Xbox 720), the games MIGHT be released on these futuristic consoles as well! This would probably have a dramatic graphic buff and we may possibly be able to play in any kind of 3D (red/cyan, normal 3DTV etc.)!
